If you are worshipping from home and would like communion, please call the church at 217-429-4278 and we will make arrangements to get communion together for you.
Food Pantry - The first Sunday of each month is Food Pantry Sunday. We use this Sunday to help stock our food pantry. The carts near the entrances are there for you to place your donated goods. We also take monetary donations and will do the shopping if you would rather donate in that way. Food pantry operation hours are on Tuesdays from 9am-12pm. If you would like to volunteer to help out in the food pantry or if you need a list of items we give out, please contact the office at 217-429-4278.
Kidzone– If you would like to help out in any of our children’s ministries, please check the box on your connect card or let the office know.
Communion Help– If you would like to help serve communion on Sunday mornings, please contact Andrea Zelhart at 217-855-5456 or check the box on your connect card and turn it in to an offering plate at the back of the sanctuary.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast– All men are welcome to join together to connect with one another and pray at Panera on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. Come when you can, leave when you have to.
Safe Families- If you would like to sign up for the Safe Families training, you can register here. The training will be on June 11th from 8:45 am until 3:15 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Springfield, IL.
KidZone Move Up– Next Sunday, June 5th, will be move up Sunday for kids in Kidzone. If your child has finished 5th grade, they can now go to Sunday School downstairs & can join the youth ministry for summer events on Sundays from 6-8pm. Children who are 5 & going into Kindergarten this fall can join the elementary KidZone ministry in the big room. Children who are at least 2 are welcome to move into the preschool room once their parents decide they are ready.
Adult Bible Study– There is an adult Sunday School class running until the last Sunday in May. The study is called One at a Time (by Kyle Idleman) and Scott Monette is teaching the class.
Phone Directory- The 2022 NWCC Phone Directory is available to be picked up at the Welcome Center or in the office. Please only grab one copy per family.
Prayer requests- If you have a prayer request or praise, you can write it on your Connect Card and turn it in, email email@example.com, or call or text the church phone at 217-429-4278. Please include the prayer reqest or praise and whether it needs to remain confidential.
Summer Youth Kick Off- Students who finished 5th-12th grade this year are invited to join us on Sunday, June 5th from 5:00-8:00 pm to kick off our summer youth group theme with a Scavenger Hunt group competition around Decatur. The best part? It’s totally free, so bring friends!
