Food Pantry - The first Sunday of each month is Food Pantry Sunday. We use this Sunday to help stock our food pantry. The carts near the entrances are there for you to place your donated goods. We also take monetary donations and will do the shopping if you would rather donate in that way. Food pantry operation hours are on Tuesdays from 9am-12pm. If you would like to volunteer to help out in the food pantry or if you need a list of items we give out, please contact the office at 217-429-4278.
Communion Help– If you would like to help serve communion on Sunday mornings, please contact Andrea Zelhart at 217-855-5456 or check the box on your connect card and turn it in to an offering plate at the back of the sanctuary.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast– All men are welcome to join together to connect with one another and pray at Panera on Thursday mornings at 7:00 a.m. Come when you can, leave when you have to.
Prayer Requests- If you have a prayer request or praise, you can write it on your Connect Card and turn it in, email [email protected], or call or text the church phone at 217-429-4278. Please include the prayer request or praise and whether it needs to remain confidential.
Membership– If you are interested in placing your membership or getting baptized, please check the box on your Connect Card and our Senior Minister will contact you.
NWCC Greeting Team– Do you enjoy chatting with people? Are you interested in getting more involved at NWCC? We are looking for a few more volunteers to help out on our greeting team. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please check the box on your Connect Card or contact Melissa in the church office by calling or texting (217)429-4278 or emailing [email protected].
Hospitals– We no longer receive accurate information from the hospitals as to who has been admitted so please call/text the office or email and let us know if you or a loved one is in the hospital and if you would like a call or visit.
Knitting Club– The knitters have resumed meeting on Wednesday mornings from 9-11am in A3. There is no experience needed, just a willingness to try!
Super Staycation V– Staycation is back at NWCC! This summer we will be watching a movie under the stars, playing putt putt at Overlook Adventure Park, and swimming at Splash Cove. Our next event will be Saturday, July 11th we will be meeting at 10 am at Overlook Adventure Park for some putt putt, followed up by ice cream at Over the Top! We will end Staycation with our annual pool party at Splash Cove on Sunday, July 19th. We are excited to celebrate the 5th year of Staycation with all of you!
Splash Cove– Sunday, July 19th will be our annual pool party at Splash Cove. Tickets will be available starting on July 5th to use as invites for the pool. Tickets are not required for entrance. There will be a potluck at 6pm. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided. We ask that last names A-P bring a side to share and Q-Z bring a dessert to share. Please bring your own drinks and chairs to sit in.
KidZone: Camp 6 7– Elementary kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us for Camp 6 7 this summer on Sunday nights. Camp 6 7 begins tonight, Sunday, June 7th (6/7) and runs through Sunday, August 9th (8/9). Kids can be dropped off in KidZone (enter through the Foyer door) starting at 5:30pm and programming will go from 6-7pm. During the programming, parents are welcome to hang out with some light refreshments in the Sanctuary Overflow. Parents are not required to stay on site.
2026 Picture Directory– We will be taking pictures in July for a new picture directory! See the insert in your bulletin for dates and times and check the box on your Connect Card to sign up for a time.
Senior Pastor Update (July 1st)- The elders have met a few times, discussing the direction of Northwest and some possible goals for our church to work towards. We’re not going to meet for at least a couple weeks due to travel schedules, so please be praying for those that are traveling and for next steps when we meet again.
